John R. Capron, Of Counsel

After receiving his J.D. from U.C. Berkeley Law School (Boalt Hall) in 1989, Mr. Capron began his law career in San Francisco's financial district as an associate at Feldman, Waldman & Kline, and became a partner of the firm in 1996. At Feldman, Mr. Capron was mentored by first rate corporate and transactional attorneys, including the firm's founder Murray Waldman. After making partner, Mr. Capron left the firm in 1997 to start his own practice as a corporate, real estate and general business attorney specializing in commercial transactions.

Mr. Capron is corporate counsel for a number of mid-sized entrepreneurial businesses, including tech companies, alternative energy providers, real estate holding companies, wineries, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers, for whom he provides general legal advice, contract review, and assistance with regulatory compliance. His broad transactional practice includes but is not limited to entity formation, equity and debt financing, secured transactions, stock and asset acquisitions (including the acquisition of assets out of bankruptcy), commercial real estate transactions, commercial leasing, the licensing of intellectual property, employment issues and simple estate planning.

Licensed to practice law in California as well as Hawaii, Mr. Capron has developed a Pacific Rim practice that services clients with operations in Asia as well as the United States.
