Kenneth C. Webster, Of Counsel

Mr. Webster graduated from the University of Southern California in 1987. After serving four years as a Naval Intelligence Officer and participating in Operation Desert Shield, Mr. Webster received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco in 1995. He began his practice of law at Graham & James in San Francisco.

At Graham & James, Mr. Webster litigated cases and provided risk management and dispute resolution counsel for clients involved in securities, international and maritime shipping and import/export, manufacturing, international heavy construction, mining, waste management and telecommunications. He also participated in litigating complex technology patent disputes.

From 1998 through 2002, Mr. Webster held in-house General Counsel and Operations V.P. positions at three small and mid-size corporations. In these roles, Mr. Webster drafted and negotiated numerous transactional, licensing, employment and property lease agreements. He also managed company intellectual property protection programs, including trademark and service mark prosecution, trade secret protection, and patent strategies. Mr. Webster also personally litigated or managed outside counsel in accounts receivable collection actions, accounts payable defense actions, insurance defense, workers compensation defense, EPLI claims, and employment contract breach claims.

Mr. Webster has tried cases in California Superior Court and has arbitrated cases before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Mr. Webster is admitted to the State Bar of California, and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. He is admitted to and has successfully argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Since January 1, 2009, Mr. Webster has been of counsel to Commins & Knudsen.
