Commins, Knudsen & Chou, P.C. Signs as Amicus Curiae Supporting Law Firms in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.

Commins, Knudsen & Chou is proud to be one of 842 participating law firms that signed as Amici Curiae supporting Perkins Coie LLP, Jenner & Block LLP, Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale & Dorr LLP, and Susman Godfrey LLP in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. 

In March and April 2025 the Trump Administration issued orders against these four firms and several others.  Most of the firms capitulated but these four challenged the orders in U.S. District Court (Commins, Knudsen & Chou supported each of those challenges), and all four were successful.  The Trump Administration appealed.  USCA Case # 25-5241.  In March 2026, the Justice Department told the Court of Appeals that it planned to drop the appeals, but the next day reversed course.  On April 3, 2026 Eimer Stahl LLP filed a Brief of Amici Curiae Law Firms in Support of Plaintiffs-Appellees, and Commins, Knudsen & Chou joined as one of the amici.
